Genre: Contemporary Romance
Title: Tycoon
Author: Katy Evans
Release Date: June 20, 2017
Synopsis
He wasn’t always this rich. This hot. This difficult.
Aaric Christos was a guy who protected me. Wanted me. Maybe even loved me.
That man is gone.
In his place is the most powerful real estate tycoon in the city.
He’s a cold, ruthless, aggressive businessman.
The only one who can save me and my startup from ruin.
It takes every ounce of courage to put my pride aside and ask for his help.
I didn’t expect him to offer it easily.
And he doesn’t.
Instead, he vets me harder than he’s vetted anyone.
Don’t invest in what you don’t know, he says.
He’s assessing every piece of me, to the point I’ve never felt so bare.
I yearn for the boy I once knew, whose touch once craved me.
Putting it all on the line will be worth it, I tell myself.
Until I realize—too late—that some risks are not worth taking.

Review
Tycoon is the third novel I’ve read by Katy Evans, and while it was a good read, it definitely wasn’t my favorite book from her. I hate to admit that because I normally love Katy’s books, especially her White House Duet, but unfortunately Tycoon wasn’t what I expected or hoped it would be.
The storyline and characters were all right, but a lot of the time I was confused with what was going on and found it difficult to completely connect with Aaric and Bryn. I liked their personalities and chemistry together, but something with their story and relationship was missing for me that made it amazing and memorable. It felt rushed and slightly unorganized, and I was a little confused at certain parts in the book.
I am very appreciative to the author for the ARC, and I truly apologize for not being able to give the book a higher rating. I hate to write negative reviews, and I don’t mean any offense or disrespect to the author whatsoever, but I need to be honest about how I felt after reading Tycoon, and it just didn’t wow me like I thought it would. However, this was only my opinion of the story, and I certainly wouldn’t discourage other readers from giving it a try. Even though it wasn’t personally my cup of tea, you might love it, and I wouldn’t want you to miss out based on my thoughts and feelings.
I enjoyed reading Aaric and Bryn’s story, and while it wasn’t my favorite from Katy Evans and I wished it had ended differently, I will still continue to read her books, and I’m looking forward to hopefully getting Sara’s story in the near future!
ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

About the Author
Katy Evans
Katy Evans grew up with books and book-boyfriends until she found a real sexy boyfriend to love. They married and are now hard at work on their own happily ever after. Katy loves her family and friends, and she also loves reading, walking, baking, and being consumed by her characters until she reaches “The End.” Which is, hopefully, only the beginning…
