Book Review – Defiant Queen (Mount Trilogy, #2) by Meghan March

The Mount Trilogy continues with Defiant Queen…

I’m his entertainment. His toy. Payment on a debt.
I tell myself I hate him, but every time he walks into the room, my body betrays me. How can I want him and fear him in the same moment?
They told me he’d mess with my head. Make it go to war with my body.
But I didn’t realize it would be complete anarchy.
I should’ve known better. When Mount’s involved, there are no rules.
I will not surrender. I will not show weakness. I’ll stand my ground and make it out of this bargain with my heart and soul intact.
But he has other plans . . .

Defiant Queen is the second book of the Mount Trilogy. Mount and Keira’s story concludes in Sinful Empire.

Defiant Queen was absolutely BRILLIANT! It was a scorching hot and incredibly addicting second installment in the Mount Trilogy, and I absolutely loved it with all of my heart and soul! Meghan March is beyond brilliant, talented, and so many other wonderful things, and she completely outdid herself with this book. I have shamelessly become addicted and obsessed with her books, and I can’t freaking wait to read the conclusion to the gripping and truly unforgettable Mount Trilogy in Sinful Empire!

The storyline was superb and better than I could have ever hoped for. Once again, I didn’t know what to expect going into Defiant Queen, but it was honestly perfect and better than my wildest imagination. I was addicted to every single word and on the edge of my seat the entire time. I loved being surprised at every turn, and I truly couldn’t get enough of everything from beginning to end. I knew the book was going to end in a cliffhanger, but once again I was absolutely not expecting that ending. It left me reeling and craving Sinful Empire something fierce.

Mount and Keira were even more phenomenal this time around. They completely blew me away, and I fell even more in love with them and their story. Mount was still a domineering, alpha hero, but he had so many more aspects to his character that fascinated me. Keira was also still herself, but even more sassy, feisty, and stubborn. I absolutely loved delving more into their characters, specifically Mount, and I felt an even deeper connection with them. I loved reading the book from both Mount and Keira’s POV again, and getting even more chapters from Mount’s perspective made me ecstatic. Their relationship has been anything but normal so far, but the chemistry between them is still off the charts smoking hot. Mount and Keira have been two of my top favorite fictional characters ever, and I can’t wait to see how their epic story ends in Sinful Empire.

Defiant Queen was a mind-blowingly sexy, addicting, and entertaining sequel in the Mount Trilogy, and it completely exceeded all of my wildest expectations! Meghan March absolutely knocked it out of the park with this book, and I am so freaking excited to read the conclusion to Mount and Keira’s story in Sinful Empire!
