Trick Play was PHENOMENAL and has been my favorite standalone in the Mavericks Tackle Love series so far! It was a sexy, funny, surprising, and entertaining standalone romantic comedy, and I absolutely loved it! Max Monroe is a genius writing duo, and they brought a 110% with Cam and Trixie’s story. They completely outdid themselves with Trick Play, and I can’t wait to devour more from them!

   The storyline was amazing and took me by surprise. It wasn’t exactly what I was first expecting since I didn’t read the full synopsis before diving in, but it was so much better than I imagined. I was in love with the story and characters from beginning to end, and it only got better as the book progressed. There were some aspects that I didn’t like as much as others, but I still loved Trick Play with all of my heart, and I was freaking ecstatic with the conclusion. Max Monroe seems to get better and better with every book they release, and I can’t wait to read the final standalone in the Mavericks Tackle Love series, 4th & Girl!

   The characters were more than I hoped for, and I absolutely loved them. Cameron (Cam) Mitchell and Trixie have been two of my favorite characters from Max Monroe so far, and I fell head over heels in love with them and their story. I loved their personalities and smoking hot chemistry together, and how their relationship progressed throughout. I loved reading the book from both Cam and Trixie’s point of view, and all of their banter and interactions with each other. It was a true pleasure watching Cam and Trixie’s journey unfold, and although it wasn’t easy and there were definitely rough patches along the way, I wouldn’t have changed any of it for the world. Everything worked out how it was supposed to, and I was more than happy with the conclusion to Cam and Trixie’s story. Trick Play also had an amazing cast of supporting characters, specifically Cam’s teammates and Trixie’s family. They were an excellent and entertaining addition to the story, and I loved them so much.

   Trick Play was another sexy, hilarious, addicting, and entertaining standalone romantic comedy from Max Monroe, and I would HIGHLY recommend it and the rest of their books! A Max Monroe novel is truly one of a kind, and it’s sure to bring the heat, humor, and swoon-worthy romance every single time. These two sweet and talented ladies did an outstanding job with Trick Play, and I was more than pleased with the outcome to Cam and Trixie’s story. The entire Mavericks Tackle Love series has been exceptional so far, and I’m so excited to read the final standalone, 4th & Girl!
