Irresistible was a sweet, sexy, charming, and romantic standalone contemporary romance, as well as start to the Cloverleigh Farms series, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Melanie Harlow created a wonderful and entertaining storyline and lovable characters, and I loved her writing style. Irresistible was a very enjoyable read, and I can’t wait to devour the rest of the Cloverleigh Farms series!
The storyline was great, however not completely what I expected/hoped it’d be. The single dad/nanny and age-gap romance tropes have always been favorites of mine, and I thought Melanie Harlow did a fantastic job with them in Irresistible. She created a fun and engaging plot filled with heart, heat, humor, and plenty of drama, angst, and sexy times to go around. While I really enjoyed everything from beginning to end, there were a few parts that weren’t quite to my liking and frustrated me. With that being said, I really enjoyed Mack and Frannie’s story and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series of standalones.
The characters were fantastic. Harlow created lovable characters I couldn’t help but root for. Mack, Frannie, Mack’s daughters, and a few other characters completely stole my heart. Mack and Frannie weren’t perfect and had flaws like everyone, but I loved their personalities and red-hot chemistry together. I liked how most of their relationship progressed throughout, but there were some times I didn’t. I loved reading the book from Mack and Frannie’s point of view, and most of their banter and interactions with each other. Mack and Frannie’s journey was emotional and trying at times, but I was overjoyed with the conclusion to their love story.
Irresistible was a sweet, sexy, and entertaining standalone contemporary romance filled with heart, heat, humor, and swoon-worthy romance! It was a promising start to the Cloverleigh Farms series, and I thought Melanie Harlow did an awesome job with Mack and Frannie’s story. I have become addicted to Harlow’s brand of romance, and can’t wait to continue the Cloverleigh Farms series with Undeniable!

I was holding my breath.
I wasn’t even sure why, but it was something about the way Mack was looking at me. And the tension in his body—the taut muscles in his neck. The grip of his fingers on the edge of the counter. The set of his jaw. It gave the impression of restraint. Like he was holding himself back.
Something unfamiliar hummed in the air between us. I could feel it—he wanted me the way I wanted him.
No wonder I couldn’t breathe.
Then he cleared his throat and turned away from me, cutting off the current. “Sure. Everybody needs to make mistakes now and then.”
I’d forgotten I’d even asked the question.
He turned the sink on, rinsed his dishes, and placed them in the dishwasher. I stood there staring at his muscular back, at the width of his shoulders, at the snug fit of his jeans on his butt. If I were his and he were mine, I’d go over and wrap my arms around his waist, press my cheek to his back. Then he’d turn around, winding his arms around me. He’d lower his lips to mine, and—
“I should get you home,” he said, interrupting my fantasy. “Want to grab your coat?”
“Sure.” But I didn’t really want to leave. I wanted to stay in this warm, chaotic house with him and the girls. Pretend I belonged here. Pretend I belonged to him.
