Review – The Bombshell Effect (Washington Wolves, #1) by Karla Sorensen

Allie Sutton just got a new job.

Not one she wants, and definitely not one she’s prepared for. She hadn’t seen her dad in years, so the last thing she expects upon his sudden death is to inherit the thing he loved more than anything (or anyone) … the professional football team he owned for the last twenty years.

Luke Pierson does not want a new boss.

What he wants is to be a good father to his daughter, the best quarterback possible for his teammates. What he doesn’t need is a blonde bombshell ruining the team’s chances at another championship. Especially when that bombshell turns out to be his new neighbor. The neighbor he was a complete jerk to the first time they met.

For the sake of the team, they treat each other like complete professionals. In public, at least. Behind closed doors, it’s a different story. And the fallout of giving in to that heat is something neither one of them can see coming.

Review

NO SPOILERS!

Karla Sorensen created a sweet, sexy, swoon-worthy, and entertaining standalone sports romance with The Bombshell Effect, and I LOVED Luke and Allie’s MUST READ enemies-to-lovers story!

The storyline was fantastic. I love football and I love romance, and when combined with the enemies-to-lovers trope, it’s perfection! As you can probably tell, I’m a huge fan of sports romance, especially football romance, and The Bombshell Effect has been one of my favorites. The plot was fun, engaging, and I loved it so much. Karla Sorensen did an amazing job with Luke and Allie’s story, and I was beyond happy with the conclusion.

The characters were fabulous. I loved Luke and Allie. They had wonderful personalities and I adored them to pieces. I love a good enemies-to-lovers romance, and Luke and Allie’s hate to love relationship was just what I wanted and I loved watching their love story unfold. I also loved the secondary characters, especially Luke’s daughter and fellow teammates.

The Bombshell Effect was a sweet, sexy, charming, swoon-worthy, and entertaining MUST READ standalone sports romance, and I would HIGHLY recommend it! Karla Sorensen is a new-to-me author, but I loved her prose and can’t wait to devour more from her, especially the rest of the Washington Wolves series!

About Karla Sorensen

Karla Sorensen has been an avid reader her entire life, preferring stories with a happily-ever-after over just about any other kind. And considering she has an entire line item in her budget for books, she realized it might just be cheaper to write her own stories. It doesn’t take much to keep her happy…a book, a really big glass of wine, and at least thirty minutes of complete silence every day. She still keeps her toes in the world of health care marketing, where she made her living pre-babies. Now she stays home, writing and mommy-ing full time (this translates to almost every day being a ‘pajama day’ at the Sorensen household…don’t judge). She lives in West Michigan with her husband and two exceptionally adorable sons.
