Review – That Swoony Feeling (Getting Lucky, #4) by Meghan Quinn

THATSWOONYFEELING

USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn brings more humor and heart with the fourth novel of her Getting Lucky series: a story about breaking curses and finally finding that swoony feeling.

I’m single . . . so single it’s painful.

Yup, ladies, Brig Knightly–that’s me–is still a lonely bachelor, stumbling through the streets of Port Snow, looking for the girl he’s supposed to end up with.

That is until my brother, Rogan, presents me with the opportunity of a lifetime. The Summer of Love, a secret pen pal program in Port Snow is looking for applicants and I’m the perfect fit.

I couldn’t sign up fast enough.

I found myself quickly falling in love with a pair of red lips at the bottom of a letter. Just like in the movies . . .

Life could not have been better, that was until I started hanging out with Ruth Barber. Starting a new business right next to my shop, I found myself gravitating toward her. Her smile, her humor . . . her tea sandwiches.

My attraction for Ruth came in full force, leaving me dazed, confused, and *ahem* excited.

As new feelings for two women come to a screeching halt, I have to figure out who to choose. But when I discover my pen pal is Ruth, it might be too late.

All I want in life is to experience that swoony feeling . . . but I think I might have just missed my chance.

Review

NO SPOILERS!

That Swoony Feeling was a positively DELIGHTFUL standalone romantic comedy in the Getting Lucky series, and I absolutely LOVED Brig and Ruth’s sweet, sexy, hilarious, and utterly swoon-worthy story!

I’ve said this many times, but Meghan Quinn is by far one of my favorite romance authors, and I am shamelessly addicted to her brand of heart, humor, heat, and swoon-worthy romance. I absolutely adored the storyline she crafted for Brig and Ruth in That Swoony Feeling, and I honestly enjoyed every moment from start to finish. I laughed, I smiled, and I swooned my ever-loving heart out, and I couldn’t have loved it more. The entire Getting Lucky series set in the quaint and idyllic small town of Port Snow, Maine, has completely won me over and is definitely one of my favorite series from this author. Brig and Ruth’s journey was a slow burn, but I truly loved watching their friendship/romantic relationship unfold throughout and the slow burn was totally worth the wait (wink, wink). There were certainly frustrating moments, but I was ecstatic with the conclusion and super pleased with the happily ever after the author gave Brig and Ruth.

That Swoony Feeling was an absolute delight, and I devoured Brig and Ruth’s sweet, sexy, hilarious, and swoon-worthy love story. Meghan Quinn pulled out all the stops for this standalone romantic comedy in the Getting Lucky series, and it was definitely one of my favorites. Everything this author writes is romantic comedy gold and perfection, and I’m so excited to devour more!
