Penelope Ward completely outdid herself with Toe the Line! Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes, and this super sexy, swoony, funny, and angsty friends-to-lovers romance was absolutely phenomenal in every way. I truly couldn’t have loved it more. Archie and Noelle’s story took me on an unforgettable journey with surprising twists and turns that kept me on my toes. The ending was especially amazing, and it filled my heart with joy and made me so happy. Penelope’s books always give me that feeling, and I’m so glad Toe the Line was my first read of 2023. It is my new favorite from PW to date and will definitely be a top favorite this year. Absolutely exceptional all around!
