~Synopsis~
The Fates are cackling their bony asses off…
It’s been a year since Seth made the deal with the gods that pledged his life to them. And so far, the jobs they’ve given him have been violent and bloody–which is kind of all right with him. But now Apollo has something else in mind for Seth. He’s got to play protector while keeping his hands and fingers off, and for someone who really has a problem with restraint, this new assignment might be the most challenging yet.
Josie has no idea what this crazy hot guy’s deal might be, but it’s a good bet that his arrival means the new life she started after leaving home is about to be thrown into an Olympian-sized blender turned up to puree. Either Josie is going insane or a nightmare straight out of ancient myth is gunning for her.
But it might be the unlikely attraction simmering between her and the golden-eyed, secret-keeping Seth that may prove to be the most dangerous thing of all.
Because history has once again been flipped to repeat.
Book 1 in the new adult paranormal TITAN series, spin-off to the bestselling COVENANT series.
~Review~
Oh. My. Gods.
Mind. Totally. Blown!
Holy freaking crap, “The Return” was unbelievably AMAZING, and totally and completely blew my mind. No joke. I honestly don’t know how Jennifer L. Armentrout does it, but she never ceases to amaze me – no matter what she writes.
I loved, loved, loved the storyline and characters, and thought they were absolutely amazing. And that word doesn’t even come close to doing them justice. Not. Even. Close. I loved how the story took place a year or so after the events of the Covenant Series, and even though you don’t have to read that series in order to read “The Return,” people who have read that series will definitely appreciate a lot of things in this novel. I also loved the fact that a few of the characters from the CS made an appearance, which made me extremely happy. It was awesome to see how things had progressed and what happened with almost everyone from the CS. I really loved the Greek Mythology aspect and thought it was very unique and interesting. It’s not something you come across often, but JLA had me hooked from the very beginning. Everything, and I mean everything, in this novel had me completely addicted from beginning to end, and I honestly couldn’t get enough. The ending… my Gods, left me screaming in need for the next novel ASAP. Not even kidding.
Seth and Josie… jeez, they were perfect and I immediately fell in love with them. I loved how it was told from both of their POV’s; it made it easier to connect with both characters and really gave you insight into what they were thinking and feeling about everything going on. It made the story even better and all the more interesting in my opinion. I was surprised by how much I loved Seth in this book. I hadn’t been the biggest fan of his in the CS, but he really blew me away and I was so thrilled by that. It was like seeing an almost completely different side of him; one that was almost impossible not to like and love. Josie was awesome as well and I loved her personality. I felt an instant connection with her and couldn’t wait to read more from her POV. Same with Seth. I loved their chemistry together and thought they complimented each other very well. I liked how their relationship progressed throughout and thought they made an amazing couple. I truly, truly cannot wait to read more about them and find out what happens with everything else.
Gods, I honestly and positively cannot sing enough praises for “The Return” and Jennifer L. Armentrout. Seriously, you don’t know what you’re missing until you read one of her books. It’ll totally blow your mind for sure – in a very good way, I promise. ;) If you enjoy reading a book with romance, drama, action and suspense, a paranormal aspect, humor and sarcasm, and everything else under the sun, then you DO NOT want to miss out on “The Return.”
