Synopsis
Can’t Buy Me Love.
It’s Tag Crane’s job to be the life of the party. Traveling from one exotic locale to another is just part of running the luxurious Crane Hotel empire. But even paradise isn’t perfect. Devising a new business strategy is keeping Tag up at night – and so is the Great Dane barking at all hours in the apartment below his. To muzzle the problem, Tag charges downstairs… right into the most beautiful, blond distraction he’s ever seen.
Dog-sitting by day, bartending by night. It’s not exactly the life Rachel Foster dreamed of. But when Tag Crane rushes in, all mountain-man shoulders and obscenely sexy smile, needing her help for the Crane Hotels, it’s a fantasy come true. What’s the harm in a fun no-strings fling? Only a fool would give her heart to a billionaire player like Tag – until suddenly the one man who can’t be caught is the one flirting with forever…
Review
I loved Reese and Merina’s story in The Billionaire Bachelor, so I was really looking forward to reading Tag and Rachel’s story in The Billionaire Next Door. It definitely didn’t disappoint. I was immediately drawn to the characters and storyline from the very first chapter, and I enjoyed reading every single one after that. Tag and Rachel were both extremely likable characters and I instantly fell in love with them and their story. I thought they made a perfect match and I liked how their relationship progressed throughout. They both seemed to grow and change for the better, and although they had their faults from time to time, it all worked out for the best in the end. Their story was certainly an adventure to go on and quite entertaining to read. I would have loved an epilogue, but I enjoyed the conclusion to their story nonetheless. The heat factor was most certainly not lacking and I loved the witty banter between Tag and Rachel. It was a treat to see characters from the first book in the Billionaire Bad Boys series make an appearance, and I enjoyed getting a glimpse of Reese and Tag’s other brother, Eli, as well. I’m definitely looking forward to reading his story in The Bastard Billionaire next year! Jessica Lemmon’s writing style was excellent, as it is in each of her novels, and I loved how she told Tag and Rachel’s story. I discovered her books last year, and now she is one of my favorite contemporary romance authors. If you haven’t read her books before, I highly suggest you check them out!
