Synopsis
#1 BESTSELLING ROMANTIC COMEDY
Beau Fortier starred in most of my cringe-worthy teenage fantasies.
I met him when I was a junior in high school, a time that revolved exclusively around bad hair, failed forays into flirting, and scientific inquiries into which brand of toilet paper worked best for stuffing bras.
That is, until Beau moved into the small guest house just beyond my bedroom window.
A 24-year-old law student at Tulane, Beau was as mysterious to me as second base (both in baseball and in the bedroom). He was older. Intimidating. Hot. Boys my age had chicken legs and chubby cheeks. Beau had calloused hands and a jaw cut from steel. Our interactions were scarce—mostly involving slight stalking on my end—and yet deep down, I desperately hoped he saw me as more of a potential lover than a lovesick loser.
Turns out, I was fooling myself. My fragile ego learned that lesson the hard way.
Now, ten years later, we’re both back in New Orleans, and guess who suddenly can’t take his eyes off little ol’ me.
My old friend, Mr. Fortier.
But things have changed. I’m older now—poised and confident. My ego wears a bulletproof vest. The butterflies that once filled my stomach have all perished.
When I was a teenager, Beau warned me to guard my heart.
Let’s hope he knows how to guard his.

The Beau & the Belle was absolutely amazing and loved it with all of my heart! The storyline and characters that R.S. Grey created were engaging and entertaining, and I loved everything so much. I also enjoyed the author’s writing style and sense of humor. The Beau & the Belle has definitely been my favorite romantic comedy from R.S. Grey so far. It was sweet, sexy, funny, entertaining, and I honestly didn’t want it to end!
Beau and Lauren were absolutely wonderful and I loved them and their story very much. I loved their personalities and red-hot chemistry together, and how their relationship progressed throughout. I loved reading the book from both Beau and Lauren’s POV, and all of their banter and interactions with each other. I was so happy that the author wrote this book in dual POV, something I really hope she sticks with from now on. Beau and Lauren have definitely been my favorite hero and heroine that R.S. Grey has written so far, and I loved everything about their story. I’m a huge fan of the hero being older – not scandalously older, but older nonetheless – than the heroine, and Beau was pretty much perfect. He’s definitely my new favorite book boyfriend. Lauren was a very close second favorite, and I loved every minute of their relationship. The only negative thing about this book was that I wanted more of everything, especially Beau and Lauren. I honestly didn’t want their story to end, and even though I was satisfied and happy with the conclusion, I still would have loved even more between Beau and Lauren. The secondary characters were wonderful as well, with the exception of one, and I loved their addition to the story.
The Beau & the Belle was a sweet, sexy, humorous, and entertaining standalone romantic comedy, and I absolutely loved it! R.S. Grey did a phenomenal job with this book, and even though I would have loved more at the end, I was very pleased with the outcome to Beau and Lauren’s story. Some of R.S. Grey’s books have been a hit or a miss for me so far, but I absolutely loved The Beau & the Belle and would highly recommend it to everyone!
