Blog Tour + Review – Lies and Lullabies (Hush Note, #1) by Sarina Bowen

Lies and Lullabies.jpg

Summer nights and star-crossed lovers! From USA Today bestselling author Sarina Bowen.

Once upon a time, he gave me a summer of friendship, followed by one perfect night. We shared a lot during our short time together. But he skipped a few crucial details.

I didn’t know he was a rock star.

I didn’t know his real name.

Neither of us knew I’d get pregnant.

And I sure never expected to see him again.

Five years later, his tour bus pulls up in Nest Lake, Maine. My little world is about to be shattered by loud music and the pounding of my own foolish heart.

Review

NO SPOILERS!

Lies and Lullabies was a sexy, angsty, entertaining, and swoon-worthy standalone rock star romance, as well as start to the Hush Note series.

Sarina Bowen did a great job with the storyline and kept me entertained from start to finish. It took me several chapters to really get invested in the story and to feel a connection with the characters and the chemistry between them, but once I did, I really enjoyed it. Jonas and Kira’s journey wasn’t easy and they had obstacles to overcome and trials and tribulations to endure, but everything was worth it in the end and the author gave me a happy ending for this wonderful couple.

I loved the characters. Jonas and Kira (and their daughter Vivi) stole my heart and I loved them dearly. They had wonderful personalities and I enjoyed the relationship they had together. Jonas and Kira’s chemistry was red-hot, and there were plenty of sexy scenes to go around. Jonas was incredibly sweet and swoon-worthy, and I loved how he treated Kira and Vivi. I connected with him the most and loved him as the hero. I also loved Kira’s brother, Adam, and a few other secondary characters.

Lies and Lullabies was a sexy, angsty, swoon-worthy, and entertaining standalone rock star romance, and I would definitely recommend Jonas and Kira’s story. I loved this intro to the Hush Note series, and I can’t wait to read the other two standalones from Devney Perry and Rebecca Yarros!
