The last thing Dawson Black expected was Bethany Williams. As a Luxen, an alien life form on Earth, human girls are…well, fun. But since the Luxen have to keep their true identities a secret, falling for one would be insane.
Dangerous. Tempting. Undeniable.
Bethany can’t deny the immediate connection between her and Dawson. And even though boys aren’t a complication she wants, she can’t stay away from him. Still, whenever they lock eyes, she’s drawn in.
Captivated. Lured. Loved.
Dawson is keeping a secret that will change her existence…and put her life in jeopardy. But even he can’t stop risking everything for one human girl. Or from a fate that is as unavoidable as love itself.
Well, I’m just going to get right to the point: I absolutely freaking loved “Shadows,” a prequel novella to the Lux Series by the unfathomably talented, Jennifer L. Armentrout! She once again blew me away, and enticed and intrigued me from the very beginning.
I loved the storyline and characters. I thought the story, though obviously short, was extremely unique and interesting. It definitely left me craving for more at the end and made me want the next novel ASAP. I loved Dawson and Bethany, and thought they were amazing. I loved their personalities and passion, and above all else, their love for each other.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to start reading “Obsidian!” The short glimpse that I got of Daemon, Dawson’s devilishly sexy and brooding twin brother, and who is also the main male character in the rest of the series, well… let’s just say yummy *licking my lips* and give me more pronto! ;)
